Job Title: Software Developer

Contract: 12+ months

Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid)

What we’re looking for:

1-2 years of experience in Information Technology or Software Development.
Proficiency in Java and Spring Framework.
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
Basic understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
Familiarity with cloud technologies, particularly AWS (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS).
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and the software development lifecycle.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot code issues.
Ability to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented environment and take direction from senior developers.
Willingness to learn new technologies and practices as required.
Good communication skills to articulate technical issues and solutions clearly.

What you’ll be doing:

Contributing as a team member to the development of Java-based applications, using the Spring Framework to build scalable and maintainable solutions.
Writing clean, efficient, and well-documented code with an emphasis on code quality and performance.
Developing SQL queries and working with relational databases to manage and retrieve data.
Collaborating with senior developers to enhance existing applications and integrate new features.
Assisting in the deployment, monitoring, and maintenance of applications in a cloud-based environment (AWS).
Troubleshooting and debugging issues in both development and production environments.
Participating in code reviews to ensure best practices and high-quality deliverables.
Ensuring the performance, security, and scalability of Java applications within AWS.
Contributing to the design and implementation of software features in accordance with business requirements.
Writing and maintaining unit tests to ensure code reliability and functionality.
Helping the team stay aligned with Agile practices, attending sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure software meets both technical and business objectives.
